Serkis. This disc includes episodes 5-8, in which the
Dorrit family discover that they are heir to a large estate, and are thus saved from debtors' prison. Mr.
Dorrit's reaction to his new-found wealth is quite surprising, and not very pleasant. Meanwhile, Arthur
Clennam (
Macfadyen) remains a good friend to the
Dorrits, while they (except Amy [
Foy]) turn their backs on him. The coming into wealth of the
Dorrits is not the happy ending to this Dickensian tale.
