Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (DVD)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint. In the fifth movie in the series, Harry returns to Hogwarts to find that his warnings about the return of Voldemort have been ignored, and are being disputed by the Ministry of Magic. He takes it into his own hands to form a group of students, dubbed Dumbledore's Army, to teach them about defense against the dark arts. Condensing a rather long and richly detailed book into a two-hour movie means you have to leave a lot out, and I felt that lack as I was watching this movie. But they've done a good job. The only real quarrel I have with it is that the scenes that take place inside the Ministry of Magic are rather dark and hard to follow on a TV screen. The special effects are very well done. Grade: B+
