A Tale of Two Cities

A Tale of Two Cities (1935) starring Ronald Colman, Elizabeth Allan, Edna May Oliver, Reginald Owen, Basil Rathbone. Dickens' sweeping tale of the French Revolution and its impact on England is brought to the screen. Colman plays an alcoholic English lawyer who is drinking his life away, but finds that his love of a woman (Allan) causes him to commit a noble act on behalf of an innocent French aristocrat.
